Want to implement Complete Streets in your community? Webinars Feb 18 & 23
The PedNet Coalition sent the following announcement about upcoming Complete Streets webinars:
Want to know how to make your community safer and more accessible for people who walk, use wheelchairs, drive, and bicycle?
Through funding from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, PedNet will be offering training and technical assistance on how to write, pass, and implement Livable Streets Policies. Livable Streets, also known as Complete Streets, is an initiative to ensure roadways are built with all users in mind.
To learn more about this opportunity, register for one of two webinars offered by PedNet. Webinars will be held on the following dates:
Thursday, February 18th, 2016 at 2:00pm
Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016 at 9:00am
Whether your community requests guidance on establishing a coalition to support the policy, training elected officials or public works employees, writing a policy, or direction developing an updated Street Design Standard, PedNet will provide the training and technical assistance to help you through the process.
