Jen Mahurin and Jen Amunategui strapped on their bicycle helmets and took a selfie before heading out on their bikes in St. Joseph on Sunday morning.

The two friends from St. Louis are two of several hundred who signed up for this year’s Big BAM (Bicycle Across Missouri).

“I don’t even remember how I heard about it,” Amunategui said. “But I was like ‘Let’s ride our bikes across Missouri.’”
