MoBikeFed comment: Missouri Boulevard in Jefferson City is one of the High Priority Bike/Ped Projects identified during our cooperative work with MoDOT and numerous partners around the state in 2010. Since that time, Missouri Boulevard has seen some major improvements, but many more are needed.Officials from several federal, state and local agencies on Thursday conducted a safety study of Missouri Boulevard in Jefferson City.
Representatives from the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Transit Administration, the Missouri Department of Transportation, Jefferson City Public Works and interested private parties walked the length of the street, also known as Business 50, to identify safety problems.
The main concern about the boulevard is its limited access for pedestrians, cyclists and the disabled.
