The Piedmont walking trail that winds its way through the McKenzie Creek Greenway is wildly popular. The trail is used by countless people daily who walk and run for exercise.

The trail will be seeing some much needed upgrades in the very new future. However, plans to extend the trail will not be happening in the near future.

The city announced about a year ago that it received a grant and planned to resurface the existing trail and extend the trail north past Handy Park.
