It’s official—the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department is getting ready to build the largest asphalt pump track in the country at the Youth Activity Park, 7801 Highway N in Dardenne Prairie! Designed by Progressive Bike Ramps in cooperation with Velosolutions, this monstrous track stands above the rest at 30,000-square feet and accommodate riders of all abilities while providing enough challenges to host national bike competitions in the park. Construction has been awarded to American Ramp Company and is expected to begin over the next couple weeks. For more information, call the park at 636-561-4964.

MoBikeFed comment: For those who don't know:

"A pump track is a circuit of rollers, banked turns and features designed to be ridden completely by riders 'pumping'--generating momentum by up and down body movements, instead of pedaling or pushing. It was originally designed for the mountain bike and BMX scene, and now, due to concrete constructions, is also used by skateboard and scooter riders, and accessible to wheelchairs."
