Don't forget to respond to the 2020 U.S. Census and remind friends, neighbors, fellow cyclists, walkers, hikers, and runners to respond, too. Respond online at http://2020census.gov, by phone at 844-330-2020, or by mail (returning the form the Census sent you).

Current Census response rate by state - darker is better. MO is behind most other Midwest states . . . (Click for full-sized version)
Right now Missouri is 5.4% behind our 2010 response rate. So we have some catching up to do! Click here to see the map with latest Missouri Census stats.
Why does MoBikeFed care about the U.S. Census? Because
- Every dollar of federal transportation funding is decided by the Census
- So is MoDOT's funding formula that determines how much money goes to different regions of Missouri
- The Census determines the size of Missouri's Congressional delegation, as well as exact borders of Congressional Districts.
- And don't forget State House & Senate Districts--all are redrawn every ten years according to the current Census.
So if we're undercounted on the Census, Missouri--or whichever specific area of the state is undercounted--loses out. We don't want that!
It's the funding and the representation we have worked so hard to create and preserve.
