Cycle along with me on a 5 day ride on the Katy Trail in Missouri. The Katy Trail is a 240 mile long rail trail the goes almost all the way across Missouri from St. Charles to Clinton. The trail passes beneath 100 foot bluffs in the Rocheport area as it follows the Missouri River for most of the way. The scenic trail goes through the Hermann area, considered Missouri's wine country. The trail goes past the capitol of Missouri, Jefferson City and Columbia the home of the Missouri Tigers. From Boonville the trail goes west through Sedalia the home of the annual State Fair and ends at the western terminus in Clinton. The Katy Trail boasts being the longest continuous rail trail in America. It takes you along rivers through forest and fields and into rural Missouri. For the distance adventure cyclist, the Katy Trail is a must do. Hope to see you down the trail!!
