The U.S. Forest Service has introduced the latest Interactive Forest Visitor Map.

According to the Dakota Prairie Grasslands – U.S. Forest Service’s Facebook, this map is an online application that shows information about national forests and grasslands, including roads, trails, recreation sites, and wilderness areas.

When people go to this map, they can find details, points of interest, and plan activities.

It becomes a valuable tool for accessing public lands and planning outdoor adventures.

In Missouri, the map covers Mark Twain National Forest (MTNF), with approximately 1.5 million acres of public land across 29 counties in southern and central Missouri - including over 78,000 acres of dedicated wilderness.

In particular, the map shows available trails and (mostly gravel) forest roads.
