Construction on approximately 5,983 feet of hard surface trail, running the length of West Third Street on the south side from the Katy Depot to Liberty Park in Sedalia, will begin April 29.
The trail is designed to accommodate both cyclists and pedestrians, with a dedicated 10-foot-wide path all being built on the city's existing right of way, according to a city of Sedalia news release.
The trail will also be fully ADA compliant, according to the news release.
