Tour of Missouri Updates
Update: As of May 27th, 2010 the Tour of Missouri Board of Directors has decided to cancel the Tour. Unless Governor Nixon has a last-minute change of heart or a good corporate citizen steps up with a significant sponsorship, the Tour is effectively canceled for 2010.
Action Alert
Ask Governor Nixon and the Missouri Divison of Tourism to release the money that the General Assembly has approved for the Tour.

Tour of MO 2010 timeline:
- March 23rd: House debates Tour; 5 amendments to remove Tour funding defeated
- April 28th: Legislature gives specific appropriation for Tour:
- May 7th: Budget/Appropriations Committee Chairs write letter in support of Tour funding
- May 13th: Tourism budgeted for $13 million, received $13.9 million, yet "can't afford" Tour of Missouri
- May 19th: Governor's office denies receiving request for meeting about Tour of Missouri/Proof meeting request was sent to numerous staff members
- May 20th: Governor's office admits receiving meeting request, passes buck to Tourism Commission
- May 21st: Non-decision decision from the Missouri Tourism Commission, ball back in Governor's court
- May 24th: Over 3500 have contacted Gov Nixon about the Tour--now will he talk with us about it?
- May 26th: Roger Kramer: Nixon's Office/Tourism Commission owe Tour of MO "courtesy of a meeting"
- May 27th: Tour of Missouri 'set to cancel' if Tourism doesn't release funds
- May 27th: Tourism Commission set to approve budget with no funds for Tour of Missouri
