1 OCT 2003: October is "Be Nice to MoDOT Month"

Has MoDOT (or your local county or city public works department) done something good for bicycling this year? Bike-safe grates? New bike lanes? A new shoulder? Better-designed rumble strips? Re-striping for wider curb lanes? Adjusted traffic lights to better accommodate cyclists? Added bike racks to buses?

October is MoBikeFed's "Be Nice to MoDOT Month"--your chance to thank the people who design and build roads for what they've done for bicycling, and encourage them to do more.

It takes just a few seconds to send feedback to MoDOT's online feedback form (or read an article with ideas about sending feedback). Or take a moment to call or write a short note to your local public works department.

We'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar!
