MoDOT proposed bike/ped friendly Longview Road segment

Bicyclists,
According to an article in today's KCStar, MoDOT is planning a meeting Monday to get public feedback on improvements to Longview Road.
It looks to me like this might be a good opportunity to pat MoDOT on the back for a job well done (for once!) and encourage them to do more of the same.
If you can't make it to the meeting Monday you can send feedback online on MoDOT's comment page.

The Missouri Department of Transportation on Monday will present its design for an improved Longview Road from Grandview Road east to Hickman Mills Drive. . . .
The proposed three-lane stretch would include curbs and gutters, bike lanes, sidewalks, a center turn lane and new service roads to Red Bridge Road and Blue Ridge Boulevard. It also would include the construction of three roundabout intersections in place of traffic signals.
Steve Porter, the state transportation agency's spokesman, indicated that the roundabouts and a three-lane roadway will handle the same amount of traffic as a four-lane roadway with signals.
