Effective Cycling Class in Springfield August 7th

We are proud to announce that Caryn Giarratano, Missouri Department of Transportation Bike/Ped Coordinator and member of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Bicycle Federation will attend:

Road I Effective Cycling Class
8 AM-5 PM
Saturday, August 7th, 2004

Springfield, Missouri

Gain an understanding of how to safely operate a bicycle in a variety of situations, crash avoidance, and how to perform a bicycle safety check. Instruction includes classroom discussion, parking lot practice of emergency maneuvers, and a ride with various kinds of street conditions.

Helmet and operating bicycle required. You should have ridden AT LEAST 10 CONTINUOUS MILES recently, averaging around 10 M.P.H. or better, to take this class.

$30 fee, PREREGISTRATION RECOMMENDED as me must arrange for an adequate number of ride leaders for the street ride part of the class. Additionally, we would like to get the manual to you several days before class.
