Student killed by school bus in Neosho

MoBikeFed News has recently covered news showing an increase in injuries to pedestrians in school zones in Missouri this year, and research showing that the main danger to students walking and bicycling to school is the vehicles transporting them and other students to and from school.

Now comes news that a young student has been killed by a school bus Neosho:
Six-year-old Jacob Wright, a first-grader at Benton Elementary School in Neosho, was fatally injured Thursday afternoon when he fell under the wheels of the Neosho school bus that had just dropped him off near his home. . . .

"Apparently the boy was walking in the street near the bus when he fell under the vehicle and received his injuries," said Chief McCracken.
