Kansas City men keep racing into their 70s

A KMBC news story covers two Kansas City area men who are in the 70s and continue to enjoy bicycling:
KMBC's Bev Chapman talked with men in their 70s who continue to cycle and compete.

"A lot of people have this misconception because of age, you're creaking around on walkers," Patrick Bunch told KMBC's Bev Chapman.

Bunch, of Roeland Park, has won two gold medals at a national cycling competition and has set time trial records in Missouri.

"It's because I'm so addicted to it -- I love it," Bunch said.

Gary McGregor, of Atchison, is a Senior Olympic Gold Medalist. Last month, he won a 20-K race at the senior nationals in Pennsylvania.

"I had arthritis problems until I started riding. My knees quit hurting; hips quit hurting," McGregor said.
