1st annual John Howard Biathlon May 20th, 2007

John Howard, a Springfield native with so many major accomplishments in the bicycling world it's hard to list them all (but I'll try--see below), will be in Missouri for a week of events May 14-20, 2007, including:
* Mon, May 14th--Governor's introduction of John to the MO legislature in conjunction with Missouri Bicycle Advocacy Day
* Mon, May 14th-Fri, May 18th--Individual and group bike fittings at Walt's in Columbia, Big Shark in St. Louis, & Momentum in St. Peters
* Sat, May 19th--"How to Save a Life" Seminar, St. Charles Convention Center
* Sun, May 20th--1st annual John Howard Biathlon, St. Charles (a MoBikeFed Advocacy Event)

• Cycling World Absolute Speed Record Holder, 152.2 mph

The ‘Babe Ruth’ of Cycling
Sunday, May 20th
Registration - 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Start - 8:00 a.m.
Register online
Where: New Town - St. Charles, Missouri
Highway 370 - go north on to New Town Blvd 3.6 miles
Right on New Town Drive - 3100 New Town Blvd.
Cost: Individual entry - $50; Team entry - $30 per person
(% of proceeds benefit the St. Charles County Family YMCA)
Course Description: 3 mile run, 18 mile bike ride on a challenging course

(Age Bracket Male and Female winners
18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and above)
• First 300 entries receive a LIVESTRONG bracelet

• First 200 race entries can also receive the “How to Save a Life” seminar for an additional $25 ($100 value)
