1st annual MO Safe Routes to School Conference
Submitted by Brent Hugh on Mon, 08/20/2007 - 7:40pm
The Safe Routes to School Inaugural Conference will provide a one-day National Course from the University of North Carolina’s National Center for Safe Routes to School involving the 5 E’s; engineering, education, enforcement, encouragement, and evaluation. The conference will also devote an entire day to SRTS projects and activities in Missouri. This conference is intended to serve educators, law enforcement, cities, counties, state agencies, non-profit organizations, and all other advocates interested in providing SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL for all children.
The conference will begin with registration starting at 1:00 PM on September 20, followed by the reception from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The conference will end at approximately 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2007.
The SRTS conference fee is $25.00 per attendee.
This is a great way to find out how to get the kids in your community more active by getting more of them walking and bicycling to school.
More info/register on the conference's web site.
