National Bike Summit 2009, Day 3: Congressional Visits

Congressman Akin joined the Congressional Bike Caucus today--making St. Louis the first metro area to have ALL of its House members (on both sides of the state line, no less) members of the Congressional Bike Caucus.
Highlights: Congressman Russ Carnahan rode his bike to work today (as he often does)--we caught it stored in the back of his office; Congressman Todd Akin joined the Congressional Bike Caucus, making St. Louis the first metro area to have ALL of it's House members in the caucus.
During our congressional visits today, Missouri Congressmembers Carnahan, Clay, and Cleaver all indicated they are willing to become co-sponsors of the Complete Streets bill in the House of Representatives.
Transportation for American put out an Action Alert in support of the Complete Streets bill--making it easy to support our efforts to visit members of congress today by sending them a followup message.
