Bike Month coming to Missouri--sign up to participate in your area
Submitted by Brent Hugh on Thu, 04/30/2009 - 5:33am
May is National Bike Month--this year (for the first time we know) officially declared so by the Missouri House, Senate, and Governor Nixon.
As usual we have a wide variety of activities planned all across Missouri. Please check out the activities in your area and sign up to participate!
* Columbia's Bike Walk & Wheel Week and Mayor's Challenge, May 2-8, 2009.
* Springfield's Bike Bus and Walk Week, May 11-15.
* St. Louis Drive Your Bike Challenge May 1-31 plus Bike to Work Day May 15th.
* Greater Kansas City Bike Week and Carfree Challenge, May 9-16. (Please join the MoBikeFed Wheel Wizard team when you sign up for the Carfree Challenge!)
* A variety of rides and activities in St. Joseph during May.
If you know if Bike Month or Bike to Work Week activities in any other Missouri cities, please email webmaster @ mobikefed.org with the details.
An important part of MoBikeFed's Vision for Bicycling and Walking in Missouri is expanding Bike Month activities to more Missouri communities!
