Columbia becomes Missouri's first designated Bicycle Friendly Community
Submitted by Brent Hugh on Mon, 04/27/2009 - 6:14pm
I just got a call from Robert Johnson, Education Coordinator with PedNet in Columbia--Columbia has been named a silver-level Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists.
That's our first Bicycle Friendly Community EVER in Missouri--and now sets a high standard for other Missouri cities to match!
And it's a great step towards MoBikeFed's goal to have (minimum!) 5 Bronze and 1 Silver Bicycle Friendly Communities in Missouri within the next 5 years.
Will your city be the next Bicycle Friendly Community in Missouri? Find out how to make it so on the League of American Bicyclists' Bicycle Friendly Community website.
