The webinar is free--but you must pre-register, and the number of spaces is limited.

  • OPEN TO ANYONE: The webinar is open to anyone interested in the SRTS program or in applying for the funding. 
     
  • WATCH WITH A GROUP: We encourage you to invite a group of people to watch the webinar together--this helps build the team you will need to create your grant application.
     
  • HOST A WEBINAR VIEWING: We especially encourage people and groups around the state to host webinar viewings--have anywhere from a couple to a couple dozen people come in and watch the webinar together. If you can host a communnity webinar viewing, please contact Sarah Shipley: sarah.shipley@mobikefed.org or 202-673-1534.

The webinar will show you how to apply for a grant and answer any questions regarding the program or potential infrastructure projects.

Safe Routes to School Infrastructure projects include the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure related projects that will substantially improve the ability of students to walk and bicycle to school, including:

  •  sidewalk improvements
  •  traffic calming and speed reduction improvements
  •  pedestrian and bicycle crossing improvements
  •  on-street bicycle facilities
  •  off-street bicycle and pedestrian facilities
  •  secure bicycle parking facilities
  •  traffic diversion improvements in the vicinity of schools
