Kansas City's bicycle courier

The Kansas City Star's columnist Mike Hendricks recently wrote about a new addition to downtown Kansas City--a bicycle messenger business:

A familiar figure in the downtowns of many major cities is that daredevil of the pavement, the bicycle messenger, zigging and zagging through traffic in order to meet a client’s tight deadline.

New York has swarms of bike couriers. Chicago, Seattle and Cleveland have them, too.

Now add Kansas City to the list. We have one, too — just one.

His name is Rudy Gonzalez. He is 23, grew up in the Northland and moved downtown three years ago because he wanted to be part of the growing urban scene there.
