Governor Nixon's 2014 100 Missouri Miles Challenge kicks off March 19th in Columbia

Shari Childs of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, which is heading up the public outreach effort of Governor Nixon's 100 Missouri Miles Challenge, recently sent this announcement: 

100 Missouri Miles 2014 kickoff event

On behalf of the Governors 100 Missouri Miles team, you cordially invited to the launch of the 2014 Governor's 100 Missouri Miles Challenge.  Join the Governor and First Lady on Wednesday, March 19th as they lead a hike through scenic Rock Bridge State Park in Columbia, Missouri. Press conference will begin at 5pm and will be immediately followed by a hike on the Spring Brook Trailhead. 

See you on the trails!

Expect to see the Governor and First Lady participating in many more 100 Missouri Miles events in 2014 as the Challenge continues in its second year.  Log your miles on the 100 Missouri Miles web site (currently closed for remodeling but re-opening soon for 2014).
