Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:
The 2015 Kansas City Microbrews and BBQ Festival will be held on the grounds of the historic Kansas City Museum. The festival will be held on Saturday, May 30th in conjuction with The Tour of Kansas City Cliff Drive Classic Circuit Race and 5K Run.
MoBikeFed is a partner in the 2015 Tour of Kansas City and our Foundation is charitable beneficiary of the event.
The Microbrews & BBQ Festival web site says:
"The museum is housed at the former urban estate of lumber baron and civic leader Robert A. Long and his family. The 3 acre plot is located atop a bluff overlooking the Missouri River Valley, adjacent to historic Kessler Park and Cliff Drive, a state Scenic By-way. The site features five of the six original structures. These include Corinthian Hall, the 70-room four-story Beaux Arts limestone residence; the Carriage House, in which Long’s famed equestrienne daughter, Loula Long Combs, housed her horses and many trophies; the StoryTarium in the former Conservatory, the Gatehouse, the Museum's administrative offices, and the Carpenter’s shed. The property also includes the Museum’s Visitor Center and reconstructed Historic Gardens."
We are excited to partner with the Kansas City Museum for this year’s event. The beautiful property will be the perfect place to relax and enjoy some of Kansas City’s finest microbrews and bbq. The museum is located at the top of Gooseneck Hill which serves as the finish line for the Tour of Kansas City Cliff Drive Circuit Race and 5K run. Come out and watch some of the region’s best racing action as part of The KC Microbrew and BBQ Festival.
Festival participants will enjoy the park-like setting of the museum grounds. Seating areas will be located around the property or just bring a blanket and relax under the shade of an old oak tree.
