Ordinances authorizing engineering services for a bicycle route study and a sidewalk project received final approval Tuesday night from the Carthage City Council.
The bike route study will determine which streets in Carthage might lend themselves to designated bike lanes in an effort to help residents get around the city, without the use of cars, to shopping areas, parks and other sites. Under the measure, TransSystems Inc. of Kansas City will be paid $9,996 for design services on the project.
