A proposed 30-mile loop of connected trails around Columbia would use a portion of an abandoned Boone County road on the western edge of the city. . . .

Roughly half of the 30-mile loop is already built, under construction or funded for construction.

“There’s very few things that would” better “put Columbia on the map as a unique, livable community,” Snyder said, referring to the connected series of trails.
