Cyclists and residents living near the site of a proposed trail to connect Shepard Boulevard in east Columbia with Rollins Street on the University of Missouri campus are divided over which of four routes the trail should follow.
The city has more than $1.74 million in federal grant money to spend on the project as part of the GetAbout Columbia program, though Parks and Recreation Director Mike Griggs said the city would be able to access additional funds from other GetAbout project budgets, parks sales tax revenue or contingency funds.
