Proposed Perche Creek Trail important part of 30-mile Columbia trail loop - Columbia Missourian

Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:

Completion of a Perche Creek Trail section is contingent on approval from Boone County to build the trail over an abandoned section of road in west Columbia. . . .

This is a small but necessary component of the Parks and Recreation Department's grand plan to complete a 30-mile loop of walking paths around the city. Snyder said about 15 miles of the circuit are already built, under construction or funded for future construction.

Completion of this part of the trail loop would "put Columbia on the map as a unique, livable community," Snyder said.
