A man is in jail in Christian County, suspected of stealing car, beating a man and shooting at a group of cyclists.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reports it got a shots fired call at about 8:50 a.m. Saturday. When deputies arrived, they found several members of the Springfield Brewing Company cycling team there who reported that a man had fired five or six shots at them near the intersection of Missouri 14 and Marshfield Road, about five miles east of Sparta.
