MoBikeFed comment: Kansas City's Riverfront Heritage Trail has continued to expand, creating connections between downtown KCMO, KCK, and North Kansas City. These communities, are the core of the Kansas City metro area, are physically close but separated by very difficult barriers: Two major rivers, steep river bluffs, major highways and freeways, and several major railroad corridors.
The KC Riverfront Heritage Trail and Executive Director Darby Trotter have patiently worked for over a decade to create a seamless trail system that is only in the past couple of years coming together to create these key trail connections in the heart of the Kansas City area.
