Law officers in Poplar Bluff arrested a prominent, local businessman Friday morning, Dec. 18, for allegedly being the second driver in a hit-and-run accident that killed a Poplar Bluff, Mo. teenager.
Ben Ressel, 38, of the 2700 block of Willowbrook Lane was arrested at 8:45 a.m. at his residence by Poplar Bluff police officers on suspicion of "felony leaving the scene of an accident, which resulted in the death of a 13-year-old child two weeks before Christmas," according to Chief Danny Whiteley.
