Bicycle & Pedestrian Day at the Capitol April 11th, 2016 - Save the Date; 2016 issues
Bicycle and Pedestrian Day at the Capitol in Jefferson City is set for Monday, April 11th, 2016.
Please save the date and plan to attend. Registration will be opening soon.
We'll be looking for volunteers to help us successful run Bicycle & Pedestrian Day--sign-ups coming soon.
And would your organization, business, or group like to exhibit at the Capitol April 11th? We'll have exhibit space open.
It is so important for people to attend Bicycle and Pedestrian Day at the Capitol because there are so many important issues at play this year:
- A proposed bicycle ban
- A proposal to require bicyclists to carry 15 foot tall safety flags
- A proposal to allow motorized traffic on the Katy Trail
- Another Missouri transportation funding proposal that neglects bicycling, walking, and transit entirely
And MUCH more--we have just released the first draft of informational packets about all of these issues and more. We will be distributing these to all Missouri legislators April 11th.
- Legislation we support/oppose
- We support a comprehensive approach to statewide transportation funding
