MoBikeFed comment: Branson is, of course, a major tourist attraction. The area attracts 7.5 million visitors per year with an economic impact estimated to be $2.9B annually.

Yet Highway 76 through the heart of Branson, where most of the theaters and attractions are clustered, is a terribly uninviting, unwalkable, and un-accessible area. Tourists are injured and killed walking along and across Highway 76 every year in Branson.

But Branson, in cooperation with many of the tourist attractions and businesses in the city, is now working to change the look and feel of Highway 76 in a major way.

The total project cost is about $120 million. Construction started Spring 2016.
