Municipal Elections April 4th: BikeWalkKC endorses Questions 1-2-3 for investments in walking and biking | BikeWalkKC

Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:

One of the biggest obstacles to better walking and biking in KCMO is a lack of local investment in sidewalks, bike lanes, and other infrastructure. And for this reason, BikeWalkKC endorses Question 1, 2, 3 on the April 4th ballot.

City Hall is asking voters to approve an $800 million investment in infrastructure, including significant new investments in walking and biking.

Why should you vote yes?

A yes vote on all three questions is a vote for unprecedented investments in sidewalks, ADA improvements, and complete streets.

MoBikeFed comment: Many Missouri communities are holding municipal elections on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017.

The $800 million Kansas City, MO, bonding questions are among the most important proposals voters will decide statewide on April 4th, but many other cities have city council, capital improvement, and bonding questions on the ballot.

BikeWalkKC has been working extensively with Kansas City officials to ensure the basic needs for bicycling and walking are met throughout the city.
