Federal transportation bill includes funding for Lawrence-KC bike trail
Submitted by Brent Hugh on Fri, 04/02/2004 - 6:33pm
The TEA-21 renewal recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives includes funding to start work on a trail paralleling K-10, which will connect the Kansas City area (Johnson County) with Lawrence, KS. A Lawrence-Journal article tells the details:
"They're looking at other modes of transportation -- trying to interlink bike trails with more traditional transportation modes in the (Kansas City) metro area."
