James River Trail dedicated in Springfield
Submitted by Brent Hugh on Thu, 06/10/2004 - 6:00pm
The Springfield News-Leader has an article about the opening of the James River Trail:
Eventually, the trail — which branches off from the Galloway Creek Greenway Trail's eastern end — could link with a new park at Lake Springfield now in the planning stages.
"This represents the first official leg of the James River Greenway Trail as envisioned by Vision 20/20," Ozark Greenways executive director Terry Whaley said Wednesday before heading to the trail to tidy up the dedication site. "Our next area of interest is to get this upstream to Kinser Bridge."
