14 MO trail projects get federal funding
According to a Kansas City infoZine article, Gov. Bob Holden announced September 14th, 2004, that 14 trail projects in Missouri will receive approximately $780,000 in funding through the federal Recreational Trails Program. Bicycle-related highlights:
- St. Louis Bike Park, Inc., Trail construction/maintenance equipment for St. Louis Bike Park, $31,933
- Platte County, Construction of Missouri Riverfront Trail, $100,000
- City of St. James, Construction of St. James--Maramec Iron Works Bike Path, $100,000
- Springfield -- Greene County Park Board, Construction of South Dry Sac Greenway, $100,000
