Shawnee, KS, works to make a pedestrian-friendly downtown

Shawnee, Kansas's, plan to make a more pedestrian-friendly downtown has run into a few snags as downtown business owners question some of the plan's features. To solve the problem, the city has appointed to business leaders to the committee overseeing the project. According to a KCStar article:
The project's designer, Landplan Engineering, is meeting with city staff and partnership representatives to create a revised plan that would be better for downtown entrepreneurs but also be pedestrian friendly.
