Driver who killed KC bicyclist Toni Sena pleads guilty
According to KCStar article, William Beggs, the driver who killed Kansas City area bicyclist Toni Sena while trying to escape from police has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder:
The July 10, 2003, chase began in Johnson County after Beggs allegedly struck and injured an Overland Park man. Beggs fled into Kansas City, where Kansas City police picked up the pursuit, and his pickup struck the victim at 76th and Wyoming streets.
Citizens questioned the police pursuit policy, and the department made changes this year after months of review by a citizen-based task force.
