National Bike Summit 2008: Issues and information
The Missouri Bicycle Federation will be leading the largest delegation ever from Missouri to the National Bike Summit March 4-7, 2008.The most important part of the Summit is the opportunity to visit with members of congress or their staff from every office of a Missouri congress member and senator.
Here are some of the ideas and issue we will be discussing:
- Where Missouri Stands--2 million Missourians bicycle; 5.8 million walk; bicycling is a billion dollar industry in Missouri
- Status of our effort to "Complete the Katy Trail"
- The Quad-State Trails System--could reach 1000 miles and over 4 million citizens
- Local area updates (for individual congress members):
