National Bike Summit 2009: Congressional Bike Ride
Photos from the Congressional Bike Ride, held on Friday, March 13th, during National Bike Summit 2009.
The ride shows off some of the bicycle facilities in the Washington, DC, area, including access across (almost all) river bridges, trails along most rivers and streamways, bicycle parking at National Stadium and RFK stadium, and bicycle lanes along E Street that have been installed in the past few years.
We also caught a view of the new SmartBike bicycle rental system in DC--ten stations for convenient bicycle rental and return stationed around the city center.
