Armstrong, Bruyneel to form new team?

Kathleen Nelson posted an interesting article to the STL Post-Dispatch web site, indicating that both Johann Bruyneel and Lance Armstrong may be leaving Astana to form their own, new team:
Johan Bruyneel confirmed Tuesday that he will leave Astana as team director at the end of the year.

‘Astana is a closed chapter for me,” Bruyneel told Sporza.

Lance Armstrong also posted on his twitter site: “Making a very cool announcement on Thursday re: a new American partner for our team in 2010 (and beyond). Stay tuned!”
Nelson suggests that Bruyneel and Armstrong have stuck together through thick and thin over the years and it is extremely likely wherever one is going, the other is, too.

Astana is committed to come to the Tour of Missouri this year--and of course speculation has been rampant that Armstrong might consider coming to Missouri as part of that team--but Nelson suggests if the team is splitting up that may interfere with those plans.

We'll see . . .
