We have been working for this specialty license plate in support of bicycling for about five years.  

We were ready to apply for the plate some years ago, but just didn't quite have the $5000 application fee in hand when the filing deadline came around.  

That year Missouri's specialty plate approval process was challenged in court--a challenge that was finally resolved in the Missouri Supreme Court.

Then we had to wait for the necessary changes to the process to be approved by the General Assembly.

In June of 2010, we were finally able to submit the application for the Same Roads - Same Rights license plate along with the $5000 application fee.  

Many of you have previously signed a statement of interest in purchasing the plates (the application requires a list of interested purchasers) and to the $5000 application fee.

After all that time and work, it's great to see the Same Roads-Same Rights license plate finally moving forward!
