Bike America in Lee's Summit named Bicycle Friendly Business

The League of American Bicyclists recently announced their Bicycle Friendly Business list for Spring 2013.

Bike America in Lee's Summit was named to the list at the bronze level. 

That brings the number of Bicycle Friendly Businesses in Missouri to fifteen, with an additional seven businesses that have received an Honorable Mention rating.

The number of Bicycle Friendly Businesses and Communities in Missouri has been on the rise over the past several years:

  • 2008: 0
  • 2009: 3
  • 2010: 17
  • 2011: 26
  • 2012: 27
  • 2013: 28

Total Missouri population living in a Bicycle Friendly Community:

  • 2008: 0
  • 2009: 428,000
  • 2010: 652,000
  • 2011: 1,133,000
  • 2012: 1,225,000
