As the city's Bicycle and Pedestrian Commission considers various options for a trail connecting the Grindstone Nature Area and Stephens Lake Park, the PedNet Coalition is urging the commission to build the trail without an incline.

The commission is considering four possible options to bridge the gap between pedestrian trails in north and south Columbia.
