Great Rivers Associates, Springfield, and the Missouri Department of Transportation could share construction inspection duties for the Spirit Trail under an agreement proposed this week, Johnson County Presiding Commissioner Bill Gabel said Thursday. . . .

Called the Spirit Trail, the path between Warrensburg and the base has been under discussion by city and county leaders for two years.
