As residents rode bicycles and mingled outside City Hall for a Bike Walk and Wheel Week breakfast Friday morning, Mayor Bob McDavid was busy inside talking about a new task force dedicated to protecting cyclists and pedestrian.

The Mayor’s Task Force on Pedestrian Safety will study an increase in pedestrian and vehicle collisions in the city and develop ideas for how to reduce the trend.
