Letter: Springfield City is not bicycle friendly | News-Leader

Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:

Springfield is bicycle friendly? That has to be a joke. I nearly get run over by a driver who isn't paying attention on a weekly basis. I have been run off the road (while riding in "bike lanes") more times than I care to count. Not to mention people who feel the need to yell out their car windows at me. Is that the bicycle friendliness you speak of, Mr. Berry?

I wish Berry would have used his article to get the word out to drivers about being more aware of bicycles instead of giving the impression that biking in this city is awesome. It is not awesome.
