The Gnomist: A heartwarming video about how trails bind a community together
This heartwarming video shows how community trails help create the ties that bind communities and neighbors together--how they help build families, friendships and deal with loss. The story happened on the Tomahawk Creek Trail in the Kansas City metro area. The video by Overland Park filmmaker Sharon Liese was distributed by Great Big Story/CNN Films:
"I didn't really like it here at first--but then, we discovered the forest. I can't feel sad here."
"We would go on the trail kind of as a distraction at times when grief became too overwhelming. We need to get outside, we need to get fresh air. It just felt magical . . . "
