The state released a Federal Land Access Program grant for Spirit Trail “gap project” design work, grants administrator Randy White said Tuesday.

White told the Johnson County Spirit Trail Coalition the funds allow Great Rivers Engineering to survey and design the last section of the trail up to the Knob Noster State Park boundary.
